In the main lodge a gigantic stone fireplace sets the tone. Couches in front of the fireplace invite our guests to relax before or after dinner. It all presents a spirit of comfort and warmth. In the winter this area is alight with candles and decorated trees. A special Christmas tree decorates the room from Thanksgivng through New Year's. Once it snows, this is where our guests gather for special sleigh rides arranged from time to time. It always seems that food tastes better in ths room. Step forward and you arrive at the 100 feet of glass overlooking Upper Whitefish. There is simply no better view of a lake in Minnesota. It is breathtaking. 

Lunch is always delightful around the pool or on the veranda overlooking the lake. If the weather is inclement or the lake is frozen, lunch is served in the main dining room and the Pub.

In the evening our guests often gather in the 100 year old Pub for a dinner drink of their choice and then they wander lazily over to the main lodge for dinner. The attire is whatever you decide you should wear. Dinner is usually followed by another trip to the Pub for great conversation around the stone fireplace or a short walk to a firepit for a bonfire.

We are very proud of our great food. We offer our guests the best the north woods has to offer. Our food is prepared by our executive chef daily from the finest ingredients. Our menu is extensive and guaranteed to please the most discerning guest. Besides the staples, such as Pan Fried Walleye or Porterhouse Steak, our chefs prepare nightly specials such as Spring Lamb with Rosemary or Cornish Game Hen. You'll be surprised by the variety. Our wine list is also impressive. We are sure you will find a wine fit for the occasion. Dessert is a specialty at Piney Ridge. After dinner we invite you to have coffee and perhaps a cigar under the stars.
